From the outside the low-roofed whitewashed building resembles an enchanting countryside pub. Stepping inside you realise that there is more to The Talkhouse than meets the eye. The first room you enter is the sitting room - homely and intimate with comfy armchairs and sofa. Here, you can enjoy an aperitif before lunch maybe, savour an after-dinner coffee and liqueur or just relax with a book or magazine.

The bar, with its beams and log fire, confirms that you are in a traditional coaching inn and offers a warm and friendly atmosphere with a wide choice of pre-dinner drinks where you can leisurely browse our exciting menu.

Extensive use has been made of Laura Ashley fabrics in the refurbishment of the restaurant. The main room is beautifully sunny in summer, with French windows opening into a private garden where you can enjoy al fresco dining.
